Silent since the cancellation of his tour, Stromae is currently celebrating the 10th anniversary of his album « Racine Carrée ». According to Le Parisien, the Belgian maestro could go back on stage for concerts in the stadium, if his state of health improves.

What becomes of Stromae? The Belgian singer has remained very quiet since the announcement of the cancellation of his tour last May. “I must resign myself to the fact that my health unfortunately does not allow me to continue to come to meet you for the moment. (…) Surrounded by my family, I must take the time to recover to resume, when I can, the rest of the concerts“ he wrote then, without specifying the reasons for this cancellation. Immediately, the public made the connection with the burn-out which affected the interpreter of « Papaoutai » after the grueling end of his tour in 2015. Since then, and announce a special reissue at a gold price.

Stromae « wanted to continue his concerts »

But in the meantime, it’s radio silence regarding a potential return to the stage. According to Le Parisien, which publishes a five-part survey of Stromae from his beginnings until his return with the album « Multitude » (276,000 sales), « the musician wanted to continue his concerts when his doctor advised him to stop so that his condition does not worsen. » In the entourage of the artist, it is said that « the insurance experts must determine if he was the victim of a simple overwork or a more serious psychological illness » to know if it will be possible to obtain a refund for the « Multitude Tour » tour.

But could Stromae go back on stage, if his condition were to improve? Still according to the daily, a solution is seriously considered : a tour of the stadiums in order to « close the loop« . “It would tire him less and it would make it possible to finish the tour and to consider the rest in a positive way ” specifies those around him. If this were to happen, Stromae would become one of the few French-speaking artists, along with Johnny Hallyday , Mylène Farmer or Indochine, to achieve from such a large-scale tour on French soil. As a reminder, he was to give four concerts at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille and four others at Paris La Défense Arena, the equivalent of two Stade de France. To be continued…
